It’s the little details that go a long way

NEW YORK — Trying to figure out how this sign at LaGuardia Airport came to be. There are so many theories. It’s a shame I had to pick just one:

Sign designer: Well, what do you think?
Airport official: I feel like it’s missing something.

Designer: What exactly are you thinking?
Official: It’s just not convincing enough. We really need to drive home the point.

Designer: An arrow and big yellow letters that read “Pet Relief.” That doesn’t drive home the point?
Official: I just want to make sure there’s no way to miss the message.

Designer: Maybe, we can add a drawing like this.
Official: Ah, yes, a man walking his dog. I like it. I like it.

Designer: Cool. So, we’re good then?
Official: Well, I feel like it could use one more thing, something to really seal the deal.

Designer: What could possibly be missing?
Official: Think we could draw it so the man’s holding a bag of dog shit?

I really wish I hadn’t been drinking water while reading this. My iPhone is very unhappy with your humor at the moment. Genius!

First glad to see you back blogging.

Second I would be more worried that there is no arrow to tell you where to go for the darn bus unless of course you can find pet relief and the express bus at the same place.
